lj was always a bit different than tumblr and thus dreamwidth is too - you gotta comment more i think to acknowledge stuff? i once used LJ for journaling with friends i knew IRL, then later exclusively for fanfiction stuff with a new account
i don't remember LJ ever having a share feature? i'm pretty sure we just did old fashioned hyperlinks :|c
tbh it probably won't be any harder to find workarounds to validate mental illness quirks than it is on any other social media site it'll just take some adapting
oh yes and that is what i meant by hyperlink, 'hyperlink' being the old-timey full name for what we call 'links' now >_x actually i don't know why i started using it as a term because i didn't used to.
